Project: Échelon (Startup, sideproject)

Founder | UX Designer | Project Manager – Feb 2025 – Present

As someone who loves both great dining and great design, I asked myself: How can I merge these two passions into something meaningful? More importantly: How can I solve real problems and create value for customers, restaurant owners, and myself as a designer-founder?

This led me to focus on three core pillars:

Curation – Building a handpicked list of top-tier restaurants in each city, so users can trust every option is a great one.

Seamless Payments – Enabling payment through the app, with features like pay-later, easy bill-splitting, and full transaction transparency.

Smart Tipping – Creating a frictionless, private tipping system that rewards good service and encourages generosity, while motivating staff to go above and beyond.

To validate the idea, I conducted interviews with customers and restaurant owners. Their feedback helped me refine the concept based on real needs and behaviors.

From there, I brought on a small team, a tech lead and a business lead, and began leading both the product vision and UX design. So far, I’ve created detailed user personas, journey maps, and flowcharts. I’m now developing the prototype while ensuring the team stays aligned and empowered.

High fidelity prototype

Here's a look at the high-fidelity prototype i am currently working on:

This prototype is based on the mockups shown below. I am using warm colors and a design style that maske it feel exclusive. Its simple, informative and user friendly.

Mockups

This is an example of how I rapidly translate ideas into visual concepts, a blueprint for future design work.

Mockups allow me to test layout ideas early, saving time and helping align stakeholders before moving into visual design. It’s a fast and effective way to communicate structure and user flow.

Project: Liffy

Role: Lead UX Designer

At my current company, TMC, I had the opportunity to lead the UX design for an internal startup initiative. The goal: create an app that promotes sustainable living by connecting people through volunteering, events, and shared causes.

This international project was a collaboration between teams in Sweden and Belgium, aiming to build a platform where users could discover volunteering opportunities, earn rewards, and connect with like-minded individuals.

The Concept

The app allows users to:

  • Find volunteering opportunities nearby, filtered by cause or skill.

  • Earn tokens (called “leaves”) by volunteering — which can be redeemed for discounts at sustainable businesses.

  • Connect and create: users can message one another, organize their own events, or set up initiatives like donation drop-offs.

As the sole UX designer, I led the design process from concept to prototype. This involved:

  • Conducting research and stakeholder interviews

  • Mapping user journeys

  • Creating wireframes and UI designs

  • Iterating based on continuous feedback and testing

Project: Orbis

This is a project I completed during the Google UX Design Certificate, where I designed a webshop branch focused on bikes.

The goal was to create a user-friendly interface that allows customers to explore, customize, and purchase bicycles and related accessories. I designed a clean, accessible layout with intuitive navigation, emphasizing quick service booking and easy browsing for different bike categories.

While the project was smaller in scope, it demonstrates my ability to apply UX principles to ecommerce design — from wireframes to polished UI.

Project highlights:

  • Streamlined product categorization

  • Bright, engaging visual identity

  • Focus on actionable CTAs (like “Bike Chooser” and “Book Service Online”)
